How to Adopt a Cat or Kitten

Thank you for considering adopting a rescue cat! Here are the steps you'll need to take to adopt a cat from CECS. 

Step one: Find the right cat. 
Browse our cats online. 

Step two: Adopt a cat
Once you find the right pet for you, you're ready to adopt!

Requirements:
  • You must fill out an application and meet with an adoption counselor.
  • You must be at least 23 years of age.
  • You must show a picture ID with your current address. If this isn’t available, we will accept a picture ID with a current utility bill.

Our cat adoption fee is $95
Dog adoption fee is $125

This fee includes:
  • Spay or neuter surgery
  • Heartworm testing for dogs
  • FeLV/FIV testing for cats
  • First or more vaccinations
  • First or more deworming treatment
  • Microchip
  • Personality evaluation
  • First flea treatment

Accepted forms of payment include cash, check, MasterCard or Visa. 

Step three: Congratulations on finding your new family member!
